I've been so busy and I was in such a rush that I messed up my
flyswap stuff. I sent it in a film canister (bad me!) and I didn't attach
anything to tell you what they were, so here's the info. I'm moving
soon to Minnesota and almost didnt' even get a chance to tie these
things up. If anybody has any info on what I can expect flyfishing in
minnesota please email me.
Anyawys, here's what I tied up. I'm a horrible fly tier and this is one
of about 3 flies I'm able to tie up at all.
The Sheeps Creek. It's not a particularly well known fly but for trout
in lakes it rocks. It's my go to fly instead of wooly buggers. I
usually fish it trailing behind a beadhair mohair leech or trail a
muddler minnow behind it. Fish it on a sink tip or a full sinking line.
I tied them with weight. In case you can't figure out the receipe
(doah!) its:
Brown hackle on the back, olive chenille, and lemon wooduck fibers
for the wing or whatever it's called. That's it.
Sorry danny for the wrong packaging!
Merry Chunnukah everybody.
Matthew!
