Was eating lunch at my mother's house which sits on Lake Tahuyeh(near Seabeck) and I looked out the window to see swarms of midges flying about. I decided to closely watch some quiet water near an inlet and after a few minutes I saw two porpoise type rises. Yep. Trout. So I just happened to have my 3-weight in my car. I rigged up with 6X (only because I didn't have any 7x) and put on a #20 parachute Adams at the end of a 15 foot leader (didn't have many flies with me, but the Parachute Adams is one I ALWAYS have with me). A little wind started to blow which helped hide my leader. In the next half-hour I hooked two of the risers and landed one of them. It was a firm, hard-fighting, beautifully marked rainbow of about 16 inches. Tons of fun on my "3". Not a real exciting fish story, but I thought I'd share. Jeff Hale
