My friend and I fished Nunnally on Saturday and Lenice on Sunday with
consistent action on sinking lines. Nunnally was much less crowded and had
many more takers than Lenice, however the biggest fish was a measured 26"
Big bow at Lenice. Several guys were hooking fish on blood worms as well
from shore. These fish surprised us in how strong they pulled and the
stamina they possessed with surging runs. No fish under 16" on this trip.
We found an area that we thought was a little out of the way and the fishing
was good, we had multiple doubles in a row, just then a voice came out of the
brush and asked us to come over, it turned out to be three game officers,
two with bi-noculars and one with his waders. They checked us, asked how the
fishing was and sent us on our way. Good to see those guys checking on such
a great fishery. The triploids in these lakes kick butt.
I'll be back.
