My suggestion would be a simple flat bottom jon boat. Carpeting the bottom
will help reduce noise. The twin V-hull design makes the Livingstons very
stable but the trade-off is that they are not easy to stand in. Lowe was
recently bought by Genmar and there website no longer works so it's tough to
see what they offer online. You can frequently pick up a used jon boat at a
reasonable price. Examples of some types that are available can be seen at
http://www.xpressboats.com/boats/jonboats/jon.html.
Good luck,
Keith

Subject: still water fishing boats
Anyone have a suggestion on a very stable fly fishing still water boat about
14'
that two people can cast from while standing up? Is there such a boat? My
tax return is coming and it's burning a hole in my pocket. Thanks in
advance...
Patrick
