gave up a single whitefish. I drifted from Red's to the Slab in just
about every kind of weather -- hard rain, then sun, light drizzle then
hail. At least there was little or no wind. Water temps were high 40's
and the river was up. Visibility was poor ~2'. I tried a variety of
dry's -- caddis, stimulators, parachute Adams -- with different droppers
-- March brown, hare's ear w/ and w/o beads, stone flies, Prince nymphs
and pheasant tail nymphs both w/ and w/o soft hackles. Nadda. No hatches
or rising fish that I saw. Almost no one else fishing, the couple of
bank fishermen and two other rafts weren't having any better results.
