This has maybe been hashed, but, it is a way to get other users to pay for
the site maintainance. On the Snoqualmie, fishermen were often vocal that
the kyakers were taking up the parking area on the upper river and didn't
pay for parking. Now, they have to purchase a sticker. I just wish they
would maintain the boat ramps! The state has monies allocated every year
for ramp maintainance ( after floods they are a mess). In 25 yrs. I saw,
only once, a ramp being maintained and that was on the Satsop. The guys
doing the maintainance asked, "Don't they do this in your area? They've got
money for it." We all know that there are increased charges, user fees, to
those using a service in lots of other activities.......cigarettes going up
another 14cents a pack shortly!...smokers paying for healthcare and
lawsuits. Slap a sticker on them also.
