Howdy- I just joined and, per request, give a brief bio:
I live in a suburb of Portland w/ wife and 2 daughters (5 and 7). Been
ff'ing all my life but only 1-2x/year (didn't figure out till my late
20s that the fly rod I was using, given me by my dad as a kid, was
equipped not with leader but just 8' of mono!) Finally I've gotten more
serious about it last 1-2 years. Usually fish smaller creeks in Coast
Range; will keep trying Deschutes steelhead till I figure it out (step,
swing, I know, but no fish yet). Recently fished Penn's Creek in central
Penna with a 'clave from the rec.outdoors.fishing.fly n.g., which I'm
fairly active in.
I recently posted a couple Washington-area questions on r.o.f.f., and
was steered here by a kindly soul. I'll follow up on my specific
questions in separate posts to keep the threads clean.
