Title: RE: new member

Usually I go by boat until I see some jumping fish, then I either drift or anchor and cast to them. I like to see activity so I know that the fish are using that part of the river. Pink is the color of course and the action that provokes a strike is a falling or sinking motion. Weighted pink flies with marabou tails or if I want lots of catching and releasing a spinning rod with a 3/8 oz jig with pink marabou. I can't over state the importance of the bite happening on the sinking action! I have never had a fish take under any other method, the fly or jig must be raised and dropped during the retrieve to induce a strike.

Mike,

How do you fish the humpies on the Snohomish?

I've tried fishing them a couple of times but haven't had good luck because of location, time of day, method, etc.
