I visited the lower NF today in the vicinity of Trafton and Cicero
bridge. The water was discolored but with good visibility and fishing
opportunities were tremendous.

I spent most of my time at a hole above the Cicero bridge, where salmon
were thick. I tried all variations of sinking and floating lines, normal
and low-water patterns, light and dark, fluorescent and normal colors.
Nada. Apparently, they were mostly humpies in full spawning regalia with
a serious case of lockjaw. I spent this time at this hole, as just
before I arrived one guy caught a nice SRC, and while I was there they
caught and released several, but they had to go.

Now, I think their fish and myself were suckers.
