In the relatively short time I've been fly fishing, I have caught trout
using the wrong line, a fly that shouldn't have worked, and poor
presentation (don't know if I lost any due to dull hooks). But what I do
know is that I have never landed a fish on a weak knot. I fact one of the
greatest lessons I've learned this past year is to correctly tie and then
double check my knots. Personally, I find it extremely frustrating loosing
a fish due to a bad knot! Not to mention the fact that I just lost a small
but relatively expensive piece of gear...the fly. My Vote: Strong
Knot!
