I bought some last year before I really started tying my own here:

I have tied up a few on my own and here is what I used:

orange or yellow floss for the body with a fine gold wire rib

6-8 knotted pheasant tail feathers tied in at the thorax. even numbers on both
sides for the legs.

two ginger hen hackles tied back to back for the wings.

ginger hackle over the legs and wings

I tie this on an 8 -10 size 2x-3x long shank hook.

The directions are not the best but you get the idea.
