Purple Peril - a Ken McLeod pattern:

Tag: Flat Silver Tinsel
Tail: Purple hackle fibers
Rib: Silver tinsel
Body: Purple floss, yarn, chenille or dubbing
Hackle: Purple
Wing: Brown deer hair

Tie it sparse on a Mustad 36890 or equivalent.  I like sizes 6 or 8.  If you
don't tie, send me your address and I will donate a couple.

By the way, the Purple Peril was the number one fly listed by many people.
I will have to look that one up.
