- Casting to tight holds in lumber and stripping spiders and such is more
fun
- Cuts can be caught on dries
- Less people fishing for the cuts.
Those are the reasons I fish cutts when there are humpies around. Don't
get me wrong, I fish for humpies too. In general, I would say humpies are
poor fighters but some of them will give you a run for your money. I
hooked some in early August that I thought were steelhead until they were
landed.
I think that searun cutthroat are the most beautiful fish that we have in
WA(mint bright steelhead a very close second) and that may be the main
reason I fish for them.
WHAT�S NEXT? Silvers should be starting to show in the rivers along with
steelhead followed by the mighty dog salmon in November.
