Dear Keith, Where is the railroad bridge? How much cfs do you need to float
your boat comfortably? (I have a 16' Hyde) How long does it take to do the
float you mention? Thanks for your post.

Subject: Re: Where to launch

The old put-ins at Cicero are now gated. The property owners on the west
side of the river have cleared a spot right next door that l've seen used
as a launch but I would ask permission first. I haven't gone and looked
lately but I think the access on the east side of the river is gated too.
I'm not sure who owns that property. I've launched my 14' Lavro right by
the old railroad bridge before without too much of a problem. A bigger
boat might be a hassle.
There is a WDFW access site down at the end of 127th St. that makes a good
take out spot. Otherwise you're floating all the way to Arlington and that
is a lot of water to cover, especially the last mile or so because the
river opens up and hardly flows at all. Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Keith
