I have also caught smallmouth at Chopaka and have seen several 10" fish congregating in the shallows. Bassare also caught at Pass Lake though not as frequently. I too kill all bass that I catch in these waters, I think it is the wise thing to do. Alo maybe it is time for WDFW to plant some browns in Chopaka. They might help cull the bass population and a little variety would be nice too.
