My brother and I floated the lower Stilly today seeking salmon and SRCs
largely travelling the river in my canoe, and wading to fish. The water was
quite dirty, visibility was probably limited to 2 feet in the water.

On his third cast, my brother hooked a nice 16" SRC. I took 2 much smaller
SRCs, and he a third. All the others were caught in tidewater, his bigger
fish was above tide water.

The salmon were abundant, my brother claiming 2 strikes from salmon, but
quite frankly, I thought they had lockjaw. There were both well colored up
humpies, and quite fresh silvers in the river.

If I were going to make a recomendation for fishing right now, it would be to
float the lower rivers looking for SRCs. I had a great time on the river
today, and learned more about the lower river than I could have in a dozen
wading only trips.

Now, I just need a partner to handle the bow paddle, and a couple dozen
spiders and reverse spiders in my box.
