The fishing has been good on the Spokane this week. I've been on the river
mid-day and have had great results fishing nymph patterns. Most fish were
in the 12" to 14" range. One interesting aspect is that the river has been
rising during the last 30 days. I decided to check the USGS streamflow data
when I came home today and found that the flow has more than doubled and the
river has risen a foot from early September levels. The greater volume of
water hasn't had any impact on the fishing but some of the sweet spots that
have produced fish this summer are changing due to the increased flow.
