I fished a favorite cuttie beach this morning during the flood tide. I used the ol' grizzley popper and provoked four hits with two of 'em hooking up. They were fat and sassy silvers in the 12-15" range. Kinda disappointing, though. My journal says three of us caught eight cutts to 18" last year around this time. . . I don't know why I bother keeping a saltwater journal.
Stopped by Doc's at the Narrows at the 12.5' high slack. Should have seen sipping silvers according to my journal. Didn't see any, but the good news is that I saw three Herschels off shore. The bad news is that I saw three Herschels off shore. Leland.
