Title: RE: Ultimate Rod Assortment

This is my first post, but an appropriate one since I'm a confessed gear junkie.  Not a bad addiction, though it can get pricey.

My rods are:

For small streams:
Orvis Full Flex 6ft5' 2wt

For General fishing when wind is not a factor:
Winston IM6 3wt

For General fishing in the wind:
Scott SAS 8ft 3wt

For hiking and camping:
Lamiglass IM8 9ft 4pc 4wt

My favorite rod that I use just because:
Sage 590LL 9ft 5wt

For throwing streamers and big bugs, and a float tube rod:
Loomis 9ft9' GL3 5wt

For big Beaverhead trout:
Hook and Hackle 9ft 3piece XT51 6 wt

Subject: Ultimate Rod Assortment

Most lists I have seen submitted are about 1 line weight smaller than what I use.  Perhaps just casting styles.  I know I don't like fighting the wind and a little heavier rod helps with that.  Several mentioned Triangle Taper lines.  They are great and I have several in different weights.  Only rod I can think to add to my want list of rods would be a Hexagraph.  I cast one a few years back at a fishing show and it felt very much like bamboo.  I balked at the price which was asked.  Has anybody out there had any experience with this rod?  Or is it just a gimmick?

Thanks,

Roger
