Not sure if this is the place for this and I know this is an old and sore subject but I understand P E T A is at it again. I was just cruising a BC forum and came across to heavily responded to threads regarding what P E T A is doing now in both the US & Canada. They posted an article that is located at http://www.ariverneversleeps.com/currents.shtml telling how PETA is trying to band all fishing in parks as a start to stop all fishing altogether. It The other thread talked about how PETA is going into grade schools in the BC area and telling kids how bad drinking milk & fishing is and apparently if they can't get into the school they are approaching the kids as they leave the grade school. One thread said no parents; school officials or law enforcement seems to be doing anything to stop this practice.
OH the first thread I read said that the US PETA group is waiting to see if a bill C-5 or something like that will pass in OTTAWA and if it does they will use it as their platform for reform in the US. This bill apparently is so strongly worded that farming; fishing hunting and everything else that has to do with animals may be in jeopardy. It is being revised and will be resubmitted to the Ottawa parliament again but the thread said even the revised bill would be a threat to all hunting fishing and several other industries. Just thought I would pass this along as food of though. You ought to look at the bizarre banners PETA is using on the Internet to scare kids into their way of thinking.
