Interesting reading. With the exception of the noxious weed program it
appears that most of the budget cuts are in western Washington.

Guess there wasn't anything left to cut in eastern Washington!!

Sorry if this is a double-post.

As I am sure many of you are aware that Gov. Locke has proposed several cuts
in the Department of Fish and Wildlife's Budget for 2001-2003. Here is a
link (courtesy of PP) to all the proposed cuts:

http://www.wa.gov/wdfw/pubaffrs/business/budgetreduction.htm

If you have an opinion on these cuts, you can forward your opinions and
recommendations to Bob Nichols at [EMAIL PROTECTED]; he's the
governor's policy advisor at Office of
Financial Management for the Department of Fish and Wildlife.

I don't mean to open up a can of worms about the initiative process or why
these cuts are being made, but if we offer our suggestions somebody might
listen to what we have to say.
Thanks.
Jon
