Carp fishing is one of my favorite pastimes with the flyrod. The address below is to an article I wrote for the old www.flyfishingreview.com site and it details a bit about fishing for the Golden Ghost. Washington lakes hold more truely "huge" Carp, and I'm talking world records here, than any other place in the continental US. I've been chasing these beauties (it's all in the eye of the beholder) since the early fifties and place them near the top of freshwater gamefish on the fly! One way, and my favorite is to sight fish for them just as you would Redfish and that's the gist of the following article. > http://community-2.webtv.net/fishing-folks/Carpflyfishingthe > Some of my favorite Washington flys for carp are: Wooley - worm, black body, grizz hackle and red tag, size 8 long shank hook with a bit of weight. San Jaun Worm. Various Chironomids. Hex nymph (in lakes with Hex hatches). > Good luck chasing Carp and > Good Fishing Chuck S
