Drove down for the opener on Nunnually yesterday. Area was packed
on Friday. Also on the way down noticed that Caliche Lakes parking
lot was full. So it looks like lots of folks at attempting to fish.

Been cold and sunny for the previous week. Todays low in Epharata
        was 21. Wenatchee at a warm 28.
Water temperature at the lake was a balmy 42 degrees.
Hooked 3 out of 7 takes. Didn't like the fact I was missing so many
strikes
but then talking to other fishermen they had the same story.

Didn't seem to matter what you were using. Got strikes on my little
green fly and Camas Damsel. Most folks were bobber fishing and
picking
up fish proportional to their skill level.

Got home and found a tick crawling on my body. I don't believe I
have ever
picked up a tick this early in the season. Looks like tick season
is going to
be real early this year. Guess its time to put Frontline on the
dog.
