Several of you have noticed that since we moved the list to the new server, replies to messages posted to the list are sent by default to the poster - NOT posted back to the entire list.
This was done because several subscribers complained that their replies were intended as offline personal messages for the original poster only. However others, including myself, suggest that the intention of the list is to share messages among all subscribers and that automatically defaulting replies back to the sender needlessly restricts the flow of information on the list. As an example, several of you replied to my query this morning about tiger trout. Each reply came addressed to me personally, instead of to the list. While I'm flattered, I think your comments and questions would best be shared with the entire list instead of just me. How do you feel?
