I just typed this message tonite to a buddy, so I
thought I'd pass it along instead of retyping-bill hamiltonFrom:

No I hated my porta-bote with a passion-1. took
about 1/2 hour to set up & get ready to fish - 2. 1/2 hour to load boat
& gear - the spring creek is about 10 mins each way 3. if you
try to row against the wind the flexible sides of the boat take away the rowing
stroke - 15mph wind means you go nowhere..... unstable, I leaned over to net a
fish, all my gear went to that side of the boat & It almost dumped me..4 not
very easy to cast from; just the design works against you--- other than those
reasons it was fine. worst boat I ever had. Dave
Schorsch liked his, but he usually just put a motor on it in the salt. the
spring creek is the best I've used. I can put a 2 horse outboard or electric
motor on it with no problem--- yeah I'd be up for fishing with you 2 turkeys-
