Sean,

My kids always had the most fun digging for sand worms at the beach and
stalking the mighty Sculpin and Perch at any saltwater park with a pier
(Kayak?). It's been quite a few years since they have fished for bullheads,
but they still talk about how many they caught. Of course there's always the
question, " Can we keep one for a pet?"

Subject: Perch ponds in the area?

My 8 & 10 year old daughters are coming up to stay with dad for a couple
of weeks, and I'd like to take them fishing. I'm looking for a place to
drown worms with them, with the expectation of fishing for nothing more
exotic than yellow perch / bluegills. Ideally someplace that'll take a
pram and electric motor, and some place within a couple of hours drive
of Seattle.

I tried taking them last year to Flowing Lake, but we got skunked. And
slow fishing makes for very irritable children in a small boat, so I'm
looking for a pretty sure thing (if such exists within 2 hrs of
Seattle!).

Thanks in advance.

Sean
