Hi Leland I use an improved clinch knot on all of my trout flies. But when I fish with Mark Bachman from the Fly Fishing Shop in Welshes he always insists that I use a loop knot on steelhead flies. Since he is the guide, I do what he says and he always puts me on fish. But I have to admit when I back fishing by myself, I revert back to the improved clinch knot. I probably should be fishing the loop. Jim Jones [EMAIL PROTECTED]
