One of the most productive patterns I
have used is called cutt-bait and the recipe can be found in the fly archives of
www.flyanglersonline.com
. I have also used various types of spiders and a couple of other patterns
that can be found in Dave Hughes book American Fly Tying Manual. If you
don't want to spring the $6-10 for the book there is a website (www.steelheaders.net I think? ) or
you can use google with sea run cutthroat fly patterns. I live on the
Kitsap peninsula (Bremerton) and places I fish are Lion's field and Manette
bridge both are in the body of water known as Washington Narrows. I have
also heard of good cutts at Olalla and Belfair State Park.
