Went I went over to Eastern WA again today with my sister (who has never flyfished) and had a lot of fun watching her lose fish after fish. I'd hook the fish and then start to play it and then hand the rod off to her. The first thing she would she would do was try and set the hook 'again', only this time try and set it to the moon :) oh well. To say the least, all of them were broken off, and then the laughs would start again. I spent more time tying on new flies and leaders than a guide would rigging up five or six anglers :) I'm glad I tied a lot flies last night. But it was a kick, she enjoyed it very much and it was a hoot to see her bobber go down and then for her to tell me "Tim look the 'bobbin' went down" and then not do anything about it. I kept telling her to "lift" but to no avail. I finally said, I'm going to land this next fish and for her to stay away! I just had to get that one out of the way so I could go back to being her gillie :)
All in all we hook a bunch of fish, who knows how many anyone else could have landed :) But, like I said we had a lot of fun and a lot of laughs.
