Gary,

Thanks for the tip.  My guide book says its a
half-mile trail so when I get there I'll hike in sans
boat and check it out.  

Tonight I bought a luggage tote and was able to strap
my entire deflated pontoon boat to it; for situations
where there's a 1/4 or 1/2 mile hike in to various
lakes.

I'll post a report later when I get back.  I'm hoping
that my "accident fish" - catching skills will back me
up tomorrow on the unfamiliar water.
