Went to the Klickitat on Sunday morning. The river flow is normal, but the
visibility wasn't all that great maybe 2-3ft. A lot of Hunters in the area
for deer season (keeps them off the river).
After driving the 1.5 hrs from Yakima, I notice that I was very low on flies
for this river :{
Being that I only had 3 good steelhead flies I figured I'd be getting into
the fish.....I was right. Landed 2 nice bright native hens about 9 or
10lbs.
Also, had two others on but not sure, what they were as they were a long
distance release.
When I was out of flies due to snags mostly, I went back to my truck, and
noticed I'd only been fishing for 3.5 hrs in the same hole.......I love this
river!!!!
Going to try and make a weekday run, this week. Right after I tie up some
new flies.
