I returned to the Klickitat today with my brother.
The Weather was awesome, the river was running clear and low as usual for
this time of year.
The first hole we fished I hooked up on a very fat, and healthy, native buck
steelhead. Probably around 7 or 8 lbs.
It had beautiful color and was full of life.
I had my brother steady the fish so I could get the hook out, and then I let
him release it. It was his first time to touch one let alone release it. I
could see the excitement and joy in his face. It really made my day to see
that. Only thing better would have been for him to hook and play it instead
of me.

The rest of the day, we didn't touch a fish, except for a 16inch rainbow.

It was a great day to be on the river.
