I am a
guide so let me respond from the guides perspective.
My
prices are based on the level of service one would expect when hiring a
guide. If that level of service is given then no tip is required. If
the guide is going beyond what one would reasonably expect then tipping would be
in order. I find my clients tip 20-30% most of the
time.
Folks
who have fished with more than one guide would start to appreciate the kind of
'outside the box' services I am referring to. I would say a guide who
sleeps while you fish is not entitled to a tip.
