I am a guide so let me respond from the guides perspective.   My prices are based on the level of service one would expect when hiring a guide.  If that level of service is given then no tip is required.  If the guide is going beyond what one would reasonably expect then tipping would be in order.  I find my clients tip 20-30% most of the time.   Folks who have fished with more than one guide would start to appreciate the kind of 'outside the box' services I am referring to.  I would say a guide who sleeps while you fish is not entitled to a tip. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of tim & muriel clark Sent: Monday, February 09, 2004 12:01 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Float trip tipping My buddy and I booked a 3 day smallmouth trip with Little Creek Outfitters (thanks to those who recommended them).   So my question is, what the appropriate way to tip these guys and who do you tip?
