Fished Yakima today for the second time this year.
I fished stretch of water just past Cle Elum exit, weather was good with no hatches to brag about!
Lot of walking to get to good water.I fished logjam ,where water slow down and tossed dry fly to the slow current and on the fourth cast I got a strike, beautiful big rainbow came out of the water 3 X and pull my floating line out of my Ross reel several times!
I landed him, he was 16 " very nicely marked with spots on it's head.
I mde another cast, another dry fly ( elk hair emerger ) this time fish took the fly under and went for the bottom and rested there.
I landed him , boy they are great fun! Very beautifully marked rainbows.
Two hrours on the water and two fish both nice 16 "
