South Fork Snoqualmie pumps out significant PMD hatches in the evenings right before dusk in certain stretches. Though the fish are small for the most part it's pretty fun to hit it in the evening and catch 20 or more fish in a couple hours.

I've found the NF Teanaway to be a little bigger and more productive than the MF, but by August it will be very low and warm, so is probably not a good idea. The Cooper River (outflow of Cooper Lake) is a river I've been meaning to explore more of--but in late summer, the surface of the lake warms up, thus warming up the river. Regardless, I caught a fairly spunky and healthy looking 'bow of 10" or so last year. The Upper Cle Elum can be fun; it's very similar to the Snoqualmie (all forks--south fork can be excellent, but also popular). All of the above are basic attractor-pattern type waters. >From: "johnny costanza" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >Subject: central cascades vs. north cascades: any thoughts? >Date: Tue, 29 Jun 2004 01:57:35 +0000 > >Sometime in early August, I am planning to make a trip with one of my >graduate school professors (he's from Minnesota) to fish either in the >Central Cascade or North Cascade Mountains.
