I heard from Jay that they are widening the river up above the falls evidently as part of a flood control program for Snoqualmie, never mind the increased flood potential now for the lower farmland valley. Here's the details: http://www.metrokc.gov/exec/news/2004/0210041.htm Kind of scary to have the Army Corps of Engineers up there hacking away at the river banks, I'm sort of amazed you can even do that type of thing these days.

The last time I was out there I noticed a strange green color to the water that I had never seen before. Did you notice this and does anyone have any idea what it was from?
