Unless there's been a recent change the sign says "primitive", not "private"?
It's a gravel road that gets graded once in a while.
The upper part of RFC is where the fish are. :-)

Subject: Rocky Ford
I have never fished rocky ford and went by it earlier today on my way to visit some relatives. ON the part of hwy 17 north (Just brefore you get to soap lake) I saw a road called trout lodge rd and it had a private road sign on it. Is this whole road private or can you drive down and fish the upper section of rocky ford? Is that part of rocky ford even open?
The road had a state road name sign on it and looked like it was well maintanined like state roads are?
Sincerely, Ray
