Slow day for me, managed only 4 fish, tried nymphs in the morning and dries
in the afternoon and then switched back to nymphs again. Fished the lower
canyon.

I tried a different nymphing technique that I saw in fly fisherman's
magazine, the right angle nymphing, after a day here's my take on it:

1. Adjusting the depth is a pain, and a waste of tippet, if you want to
adjust depth you either cut back tippet or add more tippet
2. Switching quickly to dry fly setup requires that you cut off the whole
leader, or switch rods. I couldn't fit the indicator through my loop to loop
connector so I had to cut the loop at the top of the leader
3. The indicator does ride better more upright, and is more sensitive
4. Casting was pretty much the same, big loops
5. The indicator never slips

All in all I think I'll stick with the standard nymphing setup.
