It looks like it will be an interesting spring.  I thought the lakes would be warmer
by now......but the warm days and cold nights haven't moved temps as fast as I
would have thought.

I drove past Quincy Lakes a couple of weeks ago and thought it had more people
camping than I have ever seen.  With all the population growth in eastern Washington
I bet in a few years camping at those places will be a thing of the past.  I'm sure the
Grant County Sheriff is tired of patrolling these mini-towns every weekend.

Should be great weather the next couple of days.  There are high wind warnings for
Wednesday and Thursday with 60 mph winds at Waterville.  Boy, that will turn over
the lakes!!  Then forecast for snow showers on Thursday and Friday....Winter Storm
Warning for Western Montana for up to a foot of snow.

Vladimir,

I fished Quincy Lake and some other basin lakes this past Friday, and I recorded temps of 54 on some of the smaller lakes, and 50 in the outlet streams. This was during the sunny afternoon. Fishing was slow, but there were some fish. At the pots I fished we were pretty much alone, but I was amazed at the crowds at the drive-to lakes.

Water temp was 46 degrees today.  Fishing was fair, hooking was a
bit tougher.  Two other folks at an isolated walk-in lake.  Doesn't
anybody work anymore??
