I and my buddy, Clay, just got back from a trip to Kodiak, AK fishing the
beaches for Pink Salmon. There were lots of fresh bright fish that came
readily to a variety of flies. The most exciting was fishing Leland's Beach
Popper, a pattern developed by Leland Miyawaki for Coho and Searun Cutthroat
in the Puget Sound. Thank you Leland for making it possible to have the fun
of catching salmon at the surface.

We caught 20 to 30 Pinks each day.
