If you have a look at a G4 install CD there is an Adobe folder somewhere with a few extensions for G4's called altivec plug-in & multiprocessor support. These will already with PS6 but it would be worth checking the versions. I remember fixing a dual 500 g4 by updating these plugins to the latest version but don't really know if it would make that much difference with a single. Certainly worth a try though. You could probably download the latest versions of these plugins from Adobe & see what happens. Worth a try. Rob Findlay
