I just noticed in one of your 'past posts' a suggestion to delete Appleshare.
I have this hanging situation too at start up (at progress bar time).
Are there any negative ramifications from deleting items from the prefs
folder.
If you're not sure, don't delete a file, move it to someplace else and try.
As for your actual question, deleting "AppleShare" would stop you from
connecting to some network resources. Deleting "AppleShare Prep" would
force the system to re-create some settings with no ill effect.
