Hi Brett
I have a Sony DSC F-707 digital camera and have no problems whatsoever
with my G4 and OS X - especially iPhoto. The camera is an astonishing
piece of photo technology.
To up load my images I plug the camera into the USB inlet on the
keyboard - the one without the mouse plugged in to it. As soon as I turn
the camera on iPhoto recognises the camera and uploads the images. Its
dead easy.
Best wishes
Edward

Does anyone have any experience using a Sony digital camera, if possible
(but not necessarily) a DSC-S70?
I have checked it out on the we but have found no Mac references.
I don't want to buy it and find out it's impossible or difficult to use
it
on the Mac platform. For instance, he has a USB adaptor, but it uses a
floppy disk insert thingo. Not good for a G4.
Also with his CD installer which has a Mac utility, My Macs don't want
to
use it - they seem to want to use File Exchange.
