Well done for posting a summary! Too may problems that are posted here are either never resolved or they are (more likely) resolved privately & the solution never posted here. What for instance happened about the Ti powerbook modem problem last week? I get disillusioned about posting advice if I never find out if it was useful. Also it makes it far easier to search the archives if the word solution is in the subject.
This, to me, is far more important than whether you put your replies at the top or the bottom.
