Considering you had problems with fonts, I'd be using FontAgent to check *all* your fonts. Also, the crashes you are describing are happening in multiple applications, pointing to something that is *probably* not specific to one application, but the system itself. Things you should think of are drivers, fonts, extensions, hard-drive corruption etc.
