Firstly, Resellers should not have OS X on the shelves (we don't). They have been sent back to Apple for trade with Jag copies when they come out on August 24th. Since Apple Australia have not offered a rebate on buying 10.1 now and paying $40 for 10.2 later, it is not worth having 10.1 on the shelves (paying $229 twice in less than a month - yuk!). Secondly, the customer should have been able to purchase 9.x from the Apple Store over the phone. This is the only legal way to get your hands on copies of the Mac OS back to 7.6 (7.5.5 and beyond are free). He should try calling 133 622 again. If the operator says you can't, then ask if the operator would find out for sure. Come to think of it, I believe there is someone on this list that works at the Apple Store (you know who you are ;-) Seeya Rod!
