Buy a number of removable IDE HDD (preferably a few 7200 rpm with 8MB of
cache ram - though I KNOW 10000 rpm are faster they are apparently less
reliable according to a tech I know. This may be taural faeces.)

IDE Caddies (fugly but functional) can be bought for $35 from places like
PLE in Malaga. The IDE drives are very cheap ($250 for 80 GB $300 for
120GB) and far faster than any alternative. Save your money for more HDD
later or for software.

Anyhow - HDD are more reliable than optical media and much much faster.

(This is what we use to archive at school 'cos tapes suck bigtime.)

(Anything written in Latin sounds impressive.)

Technology - built it - don't just buy it!
