OSX and non postscript printers

Hi,

I'm running OS10.1.5/9.2.1 on a beefed up 7600 <G4/400> connected via 
ethernet to a beefed up 7200 <G4/400> running OS9.1.

Connected to the 7200 is a old trusty Personal LaserWriter which works 
when printing OS9 files from either machine, just like it is supposed to.

I am using printer driver LaserWriter 300/LS v1.2 which is the latest 
version I can find on the Apple support site.

When I am trying to print from an OSX application, I cannot get the 
Printer Centre to see the LaserWriter, much less print to it.

I suspect this has something to do with the Personal LaserWriter not 
being a postscript printer. Can someone confirm this, or give me a 
solution please?
