Wonder if someone could help me with some information please. Run a Performa 5400 OS 8.1 and Apple's PPP. I usually use a Netcomm Roadster 336 external modem which connects me with my ISP at 31200 bps. Recently a friend gave me his Spirit Panther 56K external modem and I was expecting a faster connection rate, but the speed was not much better. I could not obtain a Macintosh modem script from Panther's site, and hence was using the script for Farallon Netopia 56k. This allowed me to connect with the ISP but the speed seemed to be the same as my other 33.6k modem. I was also having some problem in that my connection to the ISP was cut off at times. This never happens with the slower Netcomm modem. Is there a script which would allow me to connect at a faster speed? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
