Is it possible to configure the timeout setting for TCP/IP (not PPP)
on Mac OS 9.x and Mac OSX. I can't find any reference on Apple's tech
site
I'm guessing if yes then it would be done using ResEdit or similar.
Is it "true" that the default time out for TCP/IP is 10 Msec?
problem is a rather curricular route through 2 internal firewalls
that a couple of work machines need to see a DNS server causing
frequent DNS lookup failures if there's a high load on the firewalls.
